We just finished the last episode, after a bit of a delay in receiving it (it was lost in the mail, but Paul was a hero in resolving it, great customer service).
This whole series has been fantastic. The storyline is fun and well presented - and if it's cheesy or showing its low budget in spots, that only adds to the charm!
My wife and I play quite a few puzzle based games together, finding them to be of varying quality. Across the whole Family Secrets series, there's been only very few frustrations or rough spots - a remarkably high hit rate for this sort of game. A ton of variety on types and themes of puzzles too. The clever props, the different types of papers and envelopes, the tactile experience... So much thought and passion has gone into the entire production.
Overall we've been hugely impressed, and are looking forward to picking up the Shackleton series, and whatever Escape Mail does next :)
I absolutely love these games!
I get one every month, and my partner and I always have a fantastic time playing them together. Each game feels unique and creative, and I especially enjoy the hands-on elements. I'm a very visual person and not particularly strong with letters or numbers, so I really appreciate puzzles that rely on visual clues and physical interactions.
One of my favourite aspects is how they incorporate real actors into the experience. It makes the story feel more engaging and immersive, as if I'm actually part of the game. The playlists they create for each adventure are also a wonderful touch and do a great job of setting the mood.
Kudos to Escape Mail for creating something truly special! As a Design teacher, these games have even inspired me to create a unit where my students design and build their own escape rooms. That's probably one of the highest compliments I can give :)
Love this Escape Mail! So much fun for the family old and young. Customer service was the best. I ordered last minute and they called me personally so we could arrange quick shipping to be able to play on the weekend :)

Content was cool. I loved the historic accuracy. And the pieces were designed beautifully.
Loved it! I am happy you are able to play the entire game without needing to destroy or draw on any materials. This way you can share it with friends or play again when you eventually forget the puzzles. It’s also so well organized. Great game.
My wife and I have done all the episodes from 1 to 12 and they were fantastic. Loved the story line with the twists and turns and, of course, the escape room like puzzles. Would highly recommend to anyone that likes the at-home escape room experiences
We finished the sixth episode of Shackleton yesterday and I have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed the whole series. We were impressed by the amount of research that you obviously put into it and we were blown away by ingenuity of the various puzzles.
I think this was a fantastic subject to feature and I hope you will have more historical themes in the future. Well done team.
We bought these games on line. One friend bought and shipped the box to another city for a birthday present. Boxes arrived quickly.
I played this game with two friends online - we used WhatsApp - and we played one episode a week for as long as it took us. It was challenging, fun, annoying sometimes, but well worth the time and energy. I would highly recommend.
